We just had our annual picnic. Good food, fun games, and great company! A lovely way to start the second half of the year.

Yan’s new paper “Dynamic calibration of injection-dependent carrier lifetime from time-resolved photoluminescence of thin-film photovoltaic semiconductors" has been published in Progress in Photovoltaics.

The ACDC team won four awards at the IEEE PVSC in Montreal! Zhiwen received Best Student Paper Award, while Sijin, Shuai, and Ali won Best Poster Awards in their respective areas. Well done, all!

Yun’s new paper “Robust denoising methodology for outdoor electroluminescence images of photovoltaic modules using deep learning” has been published in SOLMAT.

We took part in a Climate Fresk workshop using a fun and interactive game to better understand the science and urgency of climate change. A huge thank you to our facilitator, Carole Defago!

Ali, Brendan, Abhi, John, and Ziv joined the CSIRO ON Prime program, where they received mentoring on commercialising our group’s machine learning algorithms for PV plant optimisation. Thank you, CSIRO!

We presented our project focused on developing novel agriPV panels at the Electrification and Energy Systems Network (EESN) event of the NSW Decarbonisation Innovation Hub. 

We hosted Thai delegates, including representatives from the Ministry of Energy, and Brendan presented our work on digital twins of utility-scale PV systems. The visit ended with a rooftop lab tour.
