Why is your research important? Â
The global solar panel industry has experienced exponential growth in recent years. However, a critical yet under-discussed issue is the massive volume of photovoltaic module waste expected to emerge in the near future. Given the limited availability of resources on earth, valuable materials such as glass, aluminium, copper, silver, and silicon can be recovered and reused through proper procedures and frameworks. My research focuses on addressing recycling and related challenges in the most efficient and effective way possible.
What do you like about research?
I feel happy when I create and work on innovative solutions that contribute to a bigger and better cause. It’s deeply satisfying to see my research translate into practical applications for both industry and society, creating impact and solving real-world problems. Research allows me to explore ideas and channel my curiosity in a purposeful direction.
What do you like to do when you are not saving the world? Â
I enjoy travelling while exploring the unexplored world, creating content on LinkedIn and YouTube, talking to people, and pursuing numismatics (collecting coins and banknotes).
