Welcome to the ACDC Research Group

We are working on several research areas to achieve this goal. By designing novel inspection and analytics tools for photovoltaic devices, we are improving their stability and reliability. By developing advanced solar cell structures, we are increasing their efficiency and reducing their cost. We are also investigating how machine learning can be used to improve different aspects of photovoltaics, including their operation within utility-scale power plants and their end-of-life (recycling). Our research spans a wide variety of new applications for photovoltaics, such agri-photovoltaics (agriPV), building-integrated photovoltaics (BIPV), and the Internet of Things (IoT).
