Why is your research important?
Tandem solar cells represent a significant advancement in photovoltaic technology, offering the potential to exceed the efficiency limits of single-junction solar cells. Photoluminescence (PL) technology plays a critical role in characterising these cells by providing non-destructive insights into material quality, defects, and efficiency. Leveraging PL technology, my research contributes to the optimisation of tandem solar cells, which are pivotal in advancing the global transition towards more efficient and sustainable renewable energy solutions.
What do you like about research?
It allows me to explore the unknown and tackle real-world challenges. The process of delving into complex problems, uncovering new knowledge, and pushing the boundaries is deeply fulfilling.
What do you like to do when you are not saving the world?
Table tennis, walking, and hiking.
